I recently repaired a emergency lamp which was 3years old and I was amazed that the 6V Lead Acid Battery was in a good shape , not overcharged not over heated and have a great performance .The customer said he never changed the battery since he brought it .I was amazed by the simplicity of the charging circuit then I decided to redraw the charging circuit .And here is the circuit diagram I came up with.
